Snipping Tool Not Working

Snipping Tool Not Working In Windows with the following error ?

The snipping tool is not working on your computer right now. Restart your computer, and then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.

After spending some time on this I noticed that Application event log was recording an error saying Detection of product '{90120000-0051-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}', feature 'WISPHidden', component '{A4AD656D-72E9-43A7-9DD0-E5F6AF438E72}' failed. The resource 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WISPTIS.EXE' does not exist.

Searching for the file revealed that it was in C:\Windows\System32. Copying it to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 fixed the problem.

I believe it may of been installing Windows Vista SP1 that moved the file.

Awesome solution!

Thanks, snagit was driving me crazy, too many options.

I think that the problem started when I did install a Wacom table in my laptop to play with Inkscape.

This must be for 64 bit Vista. Anyone found a solution for 32 bit?
I see the WISPTIS.EXE in the system32 folder but I don;t have a syswow64 folder to copy it to.

You just saved my life :-)

I installed a Wacom driver, too!

Thanks,
