A talk about my novels

While my novels are inspired on Christian values they are written to appeal to people with or without faith.  I look for insight in this area from great authors of the past like J.R. Tolkien who wrote Lord of the Rings.

Tolkein quotes in one of his letters,

“The Lord of the Rings is of course a fundamentally religious and Catholic work; unconsciously so at first, but consciously in the revision. That is why I have not put in, or have cut out, practically all references to anything like 'religion', to cults or practices, in the imaginary world. For the religious element is absorbed into the story and the symbolism.”

Another inspirational Christian author is C.S. Lewis that wrote the Chronicle of Narnia series.

As I develop as an author I hope to provide the depth of character that Tolkien and Lewis bought to millions around the world.  It’s a journey, Elijah Hael is helping me on that journey.

A recent review of my novel “Elijah Hael & The Last Judgement” highlighted that my writing is coming across as intended.

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it was an easy read and had a great storyline from the beginning. I am just a few pages from finishing it and am disappointed there is not another book out yet.
The concept of the book was interesting to me, as it parallels my beliefs about the "shadows". The book could be interpreted as a fantasy story, or faith based, and would appeal to a wide variety of readers and age groups. I originally picked up this book for free, but after reading it I would definitely pay $2.99 for it, as I will probably read it over and over again. Interpreting it as a faith based book, I liked the many little messages it delivered in such a simple, fun way. Please write another one soon!"
I strive to show the characters in my novels dealing with life issues that any of us may find ourselves in.  Subjects such as loss of a loved one, sickness, depression, anxiety, forgiveness, power, greed etc.  I attempt to show how “Faith” can help a person through these times.  Of course there is also a fantasy element through the novels, hence why they are fiction.
If you have read one of my novels I would love to hear your thoughts.  After all it is you, the reader, I’m trying to reach and entertain through the world of Elijah Hael.  And you the reader, I’m grateful in for taking the time to read one of my novels.
