I saw my novel, "Elijah Hael & The Last Judgement" on the shelves of the local library today. It gave me a real sense of achievement. To be able to provide a novel, that many people have expressed they have enjoyed, to the public through the library is a dream come true.
Maybe it's because I loved libraries so much as I grew up. A place of refuge, a place of peace, a place that gave me time to find myself. Most of all, a place where I could learn so much from so many talented writers of the current and past. Books, either fiction or non fiction, provide a way to live a life through someone else's eyes. The knowledge you can obtain in such a short space of time is something we can easily dismiss.
Movies, while pleasurable, never replace the experience of a novel written by a competent author.
